The Knicks get picks, Mavericks up to old tricks. The Mavericks clear up their future cap to allow them to make a run at the Slim Reaper, and the Knicks get some young athletes to learn a new system.

The name of this site, Three and D, comes from the most valuable of role players. For wings in the NBA, if you can come of the bench, make threes and play solid defense, you are more valuable to your team then floss following a filling of Filet Mignon. With that in mind, we rank the top 10 Three and D guys on the 16 playoff teams.

What are the credentials of an MVP? Is it the best player, the best player on the best team, or the best player on the most surprising team? At 3 And D we say the MVP is the player a team could least afford to lose, so we take CP3, King James, KD and Melo off of their respective squads and see how those teams would do.

The art of trash talking is part of the game, but is it possible to go too far? Carmelo certainly thought so when KG talked about his wife and compared the flavor of the former VJ’s vajayjay to a breakfast cereal classic. However, was Garnett just using another tool in his arsenal to make sure he gets the win?

NBA and Hip Hop go hand in hand. Plenty of rappers drop NBA stars in their lyrics, from Bill Russell to Kyrie Irving, so it makes sense that lots of rap songs are made purely about the NBA. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some NBA-centric tracks that are such jams we might as well call them Smuckers.

In part Three of the NBA Talent Rankings, the top five Power Forward and Centers are ranked. The Power Forwards feature two early-00’s mainstays who should be calling games on TNT, not dominating them. As for the Centers, some surprise at the top. Let’s just say Dwight is NOT happy.

In part two of the NBA Talent Rankings, the top five Power Forward and Centers are ranked. At Shooting Guard, does anyone have the venom to unseat the Mamba? As for Small Forward, I’m going to take a guess and say that the now crowned King may figure prominently in the final tally.
